Global Users Messages Menu in Odoo

Quick Messages Search in Odoo

This module enables internal users to access the Messages menu, providing a centralized platform to search and retrieve messages sent from various document chatters, such as Sales Orders, Purchase Orders, Invoices, and more. With this functionality, users can efficiently view messages from multiple documents in one place and perform quick searches as needed.

Main Features:

  • System Administrator Access:
    • Can access the following menus:
      • Messages
      • All Messages
      • Configuration
  • Internal Normal User Access (Non Admin Users):
    • Can access only the Messages menu.
    • Internal normal users cannot open the message form view; therefore, a View Body button has been added in the list view to allow them to read message content directly.
  • Security Restrictions:
    • Normal internal users cannot access Emails and the Configuration menu due to Odoos standard security restrictions.
  • Navigation to Source Document:
    • Users can quickly navigate to the source document from which a message originated, enabling them to review relevant details directly.
  • PDF Report Generation:
    • Message and email PDF reports are available through a dependent module.
  • Odoo Standard Menu Integration:
    • All menus provided are based on Odoos core models.
    • This module consolidates message related menus into a global view, allowing users to efficiently search messages in a unified interface.
    • The Source Document button enables users to navigate directly to the related document.
