POS Return & Exchange
Add a Return/Exchange button to the Point of Sale screen, right next to Refund. It opens a popup that lists past paid and invoiced orders, the cashier searches by receipt, order number, tracking, customer or total, then ticks the lines and sets the quantity to bring back. The module builds the return lines on a fresh order so the cashier can add replacement products and finish the exchange, with returnable quantities that respect what was already refunded.
What This Module Does
Standard POS can refund an order, but there is no guided way to find a past receipt, pick exactly which lines and quantities come back, and turn that into an exchange. This module adds that flow, end to end.
How it works
Everything happens in the live Point of Sale session, in four taps from button to completed exchange.
- In a POS session, tap the Return/Exchange button on the control buttons, next to Refund.
- In the popup, search the past orders list by order number, receipt reference, tracking number, customer, or total, and pick the order.
- Review each line’s sold, returned and returnable quantities, then tick the lines and set the quantity to return.
- Click Exchange: the return lines are added to a fresh order. Add the replacement products and complete the sale as usual.
See It in Action
From the button on the order screen, through the receipt-lookup popup, to picking the returnable lines.
