1. Module Installation
Install the Real-time Record Presence & Viewer Notification module from the Odoo Apps menu. After installation, the system enables the live presence viewer icon across the configured form views.
2. Viewer Icon Display on Form View
Once the module is installed, the viewer icon starts appearing on the form view. This icon gives quick visibility of users currently accessing the same record.
3. Viewing Status with Eye Icon
When a user opens a record only for viewing, the module shows a viewing indicator. This helps other users understand that the record is currently being watched or reviewed.
4. Editing Status Indicator
When a user starts editing the record, the module displays an editing status. This helps prevent multiple users from unknowingly changing the same record at the same time.
5. Multiple Users on Same Record
If more than one user opens the same record, the module shows the active viewers or editors in real time. This improves team coordination and avoids duplicate effort. The user can click or hover on the viewer icon to see who is currently viewing or editing the record, based on the configured module behavior.
