Odoo Customer & Vendor Portal Dashboard
Odoo Customer & Vendor Portal Dashboard provides a modern self-service portal that enables both customers and vendors to manage their business activities directly from the Odoo website. Based on the assigned portal role (Customer, Vendor, or Both), users can securely access the features relevant to them. Customers can manage quotations, sales orders, invoices, delivery orders, shipment tracking, account information, and recent business transactions, while vendors can access requests for quotations (RFQs), purchase orders, invoices/bills, delivery information, and procurement-related documents. The portal also includes profile management, address management, account security settings, real-time KPI cards, responsive dashboards, and an intuitive sidebar navigation. Built on the standard Odoo portal, it enhances customer and vendor collaboration, reduces support requests, improves operational efficiency, and provides secure, anytime access to important business documents and account information from a single unified portal.
1. Module Installation
Install the Customer & Vendor Portal Dashboard module from the Odoo Apps menu. Once installed, it seamlessly extends the standard Odoo Portal by adding role-based customer and vendor portal functionality, modern dashboards, responsive portal pages, and enhanced self-service features without modifying the default Odoo portal workflow.
2. Configuration Setup
Configure the contact as a Customer, Vendor, or Both. Based on this configuration, the portal login will automatically display the corresponding features and menus. When Is a Customer is enabled, users can access customer-related features such as Quotations, Sales Orders, Invoices, Deliveries, Shipment Tracking, and Account Management. When Is a Vendor is enabled, users can access vendor-specific features including Requests for Quotation (RFQs), Purchase Orders, Vendor Bills, Receipts, Delivery Information, and Procurement Documents. If both options are selected, the portal provides a unified dashboard with access to both customer and vendor functionalities, ensuring users see only the menus, dashboards, and business documents relevant to their assigned roles. Additionally, administrators can control document downloads using the Allow Portal View & Download option. When enabled, customers and vendors can view and download their portal documents (such as receipts and other supported documents). When disabled, users can still view the available records in the portal but will not be able to download or print the corresponding documents.
3. Website My Account Overview Page
When a contact is configured as both Customer and Vendor, the portal automatically displays a unified dashboard that combines both customer and vendor features after login. Users can access customer transactions such as Quotations, Sales Orders, Invoices, Deliveries, Profile Management, Security Settings, and Account Information, while also accessing vendor-related features including Vendor Overview, Requests for Quotation (RFQs), Purchase Orders, Receipts, Bills Payable, and procurement documents. The responsive dashboard presents role-based KPI cards, recent activities, quick actions, and business information in a single, easy-to-use interface, providing a complete self-service experience without modifying the standard Odoo portal workflow.
4. Portal Customer Overview
When the Is a Customer option is enabled for a contact, the portal displays only customer-related features after login. Customers can access a personalized dashboard to view quotations, sales orders, invoices, deliveries, account summaries, profile & address management, account security, and recent business activities. The portal automatically hides vendor-specific menus and functionality, providing a clean, role-based self-service experience with quick access to all customer transactions and business documents.
5. Portal Vendor Overview
When the Is a Vendor option is enabled for a contact, the portal displays only vendor-related features after login. Vendors can access a dedicated dashboard to manage Requests for Quotation (RFQs), Purchase Orders, Receipts, Vendor Bills, procurement documents, account information, and recent business activities. The portal automatically hides customer-specific menus and functionality, providing a clean, role-based self-service experience with quick access to all vendor transactions and procurement-related documents.
6. Portal Security View
The Security page allows customers to manage their account credentials by changing passwords, enabling two-factor authentication (2FA), and logging out from all active sessions, ensuring secure and protected access to the Customer Portal.
7. Portal Customer Profile
The Profile & Addresses page allows customers to manage their personal and business information from a single location. Customers can update their profile picture, contact details, billing and delivery addresses, and account information while maintaining accurate records for future orders, deliveries, and invoicing through the secure customer portal.
