Pos Toppings
POS Toppings in Odoo lets you add customizable extras to your products directly in the Point of Sale. Customers can choose from optional or mandatory toppings, each with its own price, while the system updates totals and inventory automatically. Receipts clearly show the parent product with its selected toppings, making order management fast, accurate, and customer-friendly.

The POS Toppings feature in Odoo allows restaurants, cafes, and retail businesses to offer customizable options for their products directly in the Point of Sale interface. It enables assigning one or more products as toppings to a parent product, giving customers flexibility to personalize their orders. Toppings can be optional or mandatory, can have their own prices, and are grouped for easy selection. Receipts clearly display the parent product along with its toppings, providing transparency for both staff and customers. Yes, can use with Community and Enterprise both.
Click on the products and navigate to the product variants.
Choose the product for which you want to add a topping product.
Now you will see the ‘Topping’ checkbox.
Now select the ‘Topping’ checkbox.
Click on the products and navigate to the product variants.
Now select another product and set it as a topping product.
Now select the ‘Topping’ checkbox.
Now choose another product from the product variants and navigate to the Toppings tab.
Create a Toppings Group, choose the product that you marked as a topping product, and navigate to the Point of Sale.
In the Point of Sale, open the register to start operations for the restaurant.
Choose the product that has a topping product.
Select your desired option and click the ‘Add’ button.
Now choose the topping product as you want.
Now remove the parent topping product.
Now you can see that the parent product with the topping product shows quantity and amount as 0, and the total amount is also 0.
Now, reselect the topping product and proceed to payment.
Now, click ‘Validate’ to confirm the payment.
On the generated receipt, you can see the parent product along with the topping product.
