Quality Checklist
Per-BoM QC checks that block Mark-Done until every required item passes.
Per-BoM templates · Block Mark-Done · Pass-rate pivot · Pure Community
Odoo 18 $44.99 For Manufacturing 9 LanguagesNo QC for Community users
v19's Quality module is Enterprise-only. Community users running Manufacturing have no built-in way to require an operator to confirm a list of inspection items before closing out a manufacturing order. The choice today is either no QC at all, or a separate paper checklist that nobody links back to the MO. This module fills the gap with a small, self-contained QC layer that lives entirely on top of mrp.
Without this module
Operators close MOs from the keyboard with no checklist gate. Defects slip through to shipping. No record of which inspections actually happened. No way to compute pass rate per workcenter or per product.
With this module
Attach a QC template to a BoM. Every MO gets the items materialised at confirm time. Mark-Done refuses while any required check is pending or failed. Reporting menu has a pass-rate pivot per workcenter and product.
Six small features
Reusable QC templates with ordered items. Each item flagged Required or Optional. Three pre-bundled starters: garment, electronics, food.
One template per Bill of Materials. The BoM form picks the template; every MO built from that BoM gets the checks materialised at confirm time.
A required check still Pending or Fail blocks order close-out with a clear error listing the offending items.
Pass / Fail / Reset buttons inline on the MO form notebook. No need to leave the MO. Failed checks post a chatter on the manufacturing order.
Manufacturing → Reporting → QC Pass Rate. Pivot and bar-graph by workcenter, by product, by check name.
No JS, no OWL, no Enterprise dependency. Server-side Python and XML only. Works on Community and Enterprise alike.
See It In Action
From template to shop floor to report — the whole QC loop.
QC checks on the Manufacturing Order
Every confirmed MO gets its checklist as a dedicated tab. Operators Pass, Fail or Reset each item inline — without ever leaving the order.
Mark-Done blocked until QC passes
Produce All refuses to close the order while any required check is pending or failed — and names exactly which ones.
Reusable QC templates
Define a checklist once — ordered items, each Required or Optional — and reuse it across every BoM.
One template per Bill of Materials
Attach a QC template to a BoM; every Manufacturing Order built from it materialises those checks at confirm time.
Pass-rate analytics
A pivot under Manufacturing → Reporting breaks pass / fail / pending down by workcenter and by product.
Every check in one workspace
The QC Checks list shows every check across every MO — colour-coded, with inline Pass / Fail / Reset.
