What does this module provide?
Login as Any User lets authorized users instantly switch into any user account directly from the Odoo header (systray) without needing passwords. Assign the Allow to Login as Any User group to grant access — by default, no one has permission after installation. Once enabled, a switcher icon appears in the top bar so you can pick a user, log in as them with their full permissions, and switch again anytime without leaving the session.

1) Enable Access and Show the Switcher Icon
First, grant the user the Allow to Login as Any User security group. Once the permission is assigned, a dedicated switcher icon appears in the Odoo top header (systray), ready for use.
2) Open the User List and Choose an Account
Click the switcher icon to open a dropdown of all users with their profile images. Browse the list and select the account you want to switch into.
3) Instantly Logged In as the Selected User
After selecting a user, you are switched immediately into their session — fully logged in as them, including their access rights, menus, and permissions. The switcher stays available so you can switch again anytime.
Who can use the Login as Any User feature?
Only users who belong to the Allow to Login as Any User security group. By default, no one has access after installation.
Where does the switcher appear?
Once the permission is granted, a switcher icon appears in the Odoo top header (systray), next to the standard system icons.
Do I need the target user's password?
No. Authorized users can switch into any account directly from the systray without entering a password.
What happens after I select a user?
You are instantly logged in as that user with their full permissions, menus, and access rights — as if you signed in with their account.
Can I switch to another user after switching once?
Yes. The switcher remains visible in switched sessions, so you can select another user or continue switching as needed.
Which Odoo editions are supported?
Compatible with Odoo 19 Community and Enterprise editions on On-Premise, Odoo Online, and Odoo.sh.
