Odoo Project Task Merge : Combine Multiple Tasks into One
This module allows project teams and users to merge multiple project tasks into a single consolidated task, streamlining task management and reducing duplication. For a complete overview of the features and functionality, please refer to the detailed information below and watch the demo video.
Supported Fields for Task Merge
When merging multiple project tasks, the system will intelligently handle and consolidate the following fields:
- Task Name: Concatenates the names of all selected tasks.
- Description: Combines the descriptions from all tasks into a single unified description.
- Deadline Date: Sets the latest (maximum) deadline date among the selected tasks.
- End Date: Assigns the earliest (minimum) end date found across the selected tasks.
- Assign Date: Sets the assign date of the new task to the current date.
- Customer: Retains the customer associated with the project.
- Project: Inherits the project from the selected tasks.
- Company: Inherits the company from the related project.
- Planned Hours: Sums up the planned hours of all selected tasks and assigns the total to the new task.
- Task Tags: Merges all unique task tags from the selected tasks into the new task.
- Timesheets: Transfers all timesheet entries from the original tasks into the merged task.
