Overview

The Sale Order Discount Total module introduces enhanced discount visibility and financial clarity for Odoo 18âs Sales workflow.
This module automatically computes the total discount amount applied across all sale order lines â including both percentage-based discounts and fixed discount (negative price) lines. It also displays a new Overall Amount value, showing the total order amount before any discount is applied.
These values appear directly inside the Sale Order totals section, providing users with a clear breakdown of Actual Amount, Discount, and Net Total. The discount is also automatically propagated to generated invoices, ensuring consistent financial reporting.

Sale Order View Enhancements
The module adds two new financial fields directly inside the Sale Order totals panel:
Discount Total and Subtotal (Before Discount).
These values are calculated automatically based on order lines, making it easier for sales teams
to instantly understand how much discount has been applied and what the true value of the order is
before deductions.

Invoice View Enhancements
The computed discount from the Sale Order is automatically carried over to the Invoice, ensuring seamless financial accuracy between Sales and Accounting. This provides accountants and managers with consistent values for discount totals and order amounts without manual re-entry or recalculation.
