Setup Guide
Install the Odoo Module
Upload and install pos_direct_printer from the Apps menu. Go to Settings → Apps → Upload Module.
Download & Install PrintServer.exe
Download the Print Server from the module files, run it on a Windows PC, then enter your printers IP addresses and names inside the app.
Install the Chrome Extension
Open chrome://extensions, enable Developer Mode, click Load unpacked and select the extension\ folder.
Configure Printer in POS
Go to POS Settings → Hardware → Printers. Add a printer, set type to OmniPOS Direct Print, enter the name and Server URL http://127.0.0.1:5000.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need Python on the target machine?
No. Python is only required on the build machine. The generated PrintServer.exe is fully self-contained and works on any Windows 10/11 machine without Python installed.
What printers are supported?
Any network thermal printer using ESC/POS over TCP port 9100. This covers Epson TM series, Star TSP, Bixolon SRP, Xprinter, HPRT and most receipt or label printers.
Can I use multiple printers?
Yes. Add as many printers as needed in the Print Server app — each with a unique name and IP. In Odoo POS assign different printers to different product categories using the standard Odoo printer configuration.
What happens if the printer goes offline?
The server detects the failure, drops the old connection, and automatically reconnects when the printer comes back. Print jobs fail gracefully — they will not hang the POS session.
