Overview

Health Monitor is a system monitoring module that provides a live server health dashboard inside Odoo. It enables administrators/users to track real-time infrastructure metrics such as CPU usage, memory utilization, disk space, swap usage, total odoo users, active users, and scheduled cron jobs,all from a single interface. The dashboard also includes an auto-refresh functionality that periodically updates system data to ensure users always view the latest server performance metrics without manually reloading the page.

This helps identify performance bottlenecks, monitor server load, and ensure overall system stability without relying on external monitoring tools.

Access Rights Configuration

Access to the Health Monitor dashboard is controlled using a dedicated security group. Only authorized users can view system performance metrics.

• Go to Settings >> Users & Companies >> Users
• Open the required user
• Navigate to the Access Rights tab
• Locate the group Health Monitor Access
• Enable the checkbox to grant access

Note: The access rights is visible only when Developer Mode is enabled.

How It Works

1. Menu Without Access

When the user does not have Health Monitor access rights, the health Monitor menu will not be visible in the system.

2. Access Rights Configuration

Enable the Health Monitor Access group from the users Access Rights tab to allow dashboard visibility.

3. Menu Visible After Access

Once access is granted, the Health Monitor menu becomes visible in the odoo Settings menu.

4. Health Monitor Dashboard

The dashboard displays live system performance metrics with progress indicators, resource utilization insights, and an auto-refresh functionality that periodically fetches and updates system data without requiring manual reload.
