Turn every WhatsApp chat into a Helpdesk ticket — and reply right back over WhatsApp
A two-way bridge that wires your WhatsApp conversations straight into Odoo Helpdesk. Inbound messages open and feed a ticket, agent replies fly back to the customer's phone, and one click jumps between the two — no copy-paste, no second tool.

Without it

With this add-on
|
One WhatsApp thread, one ticket, both in sync
|
🏷
Inbound chat creates a ticketWhen an inbound rule targets Helpdesk Ticket, a new ticket is created from the WhatsApp message and stamped on both sides — the channel and the ticket each remember the other. |
💬
Inbound relayed to the chatterEach customer message is posted into the linked ticket's chatter as an internal note, prefixed with the sender, so agents read the whole conversation without leaving Helpdesk. |
📱
Agent reply sent over WhatsAppA public reply on the ticket (a normal Send message) is automatically pushed back to the customer through the same WhatsApp conversation they started. |
|
✅
Smart button on the ticketA WhatsApp Conversation stat button appears on the ticket form whenever a chat is linked, opening the originating Discuss conversation in one click. |
🔗
Smart button on the conversationFrom the WhatsApp Discuss channel, a matching smart button jumps straight to the linked Helpdesk ticket — the bridge works in both directions. |
🔄
Loop-safe two-way relayA skip_helpdesk_relay guard flag is set on every relayed message, so posts never bounce back and forth between the ticket and the channel in an endless loop. |
|
🛡
Fire-and-forget, never blocksRelay runs as a safe side effect: if WhatsApp delivery or the ticket lookup ever fails, the error is logged and the original post still succeeds — no broken tickets, no lost replies. |
👤
Authorship preservedRelayed messages carry the right author — customer inbound notes are attributed to the contact, and agent replies keep the responding user as author on the WhatsApp side. |
🛠
Zero configurationAuto-installs the moment both apps are present and binds itself with a stable integer back-link — no new menus, no setup wizard, nothing to switch on. |
Live in three steps
|
1
Install the core appAdd Open WhatsApp Connector and connect a WhatsApp account — that gives you the accounts, Discuss inbox and dashboard. |
2
This bridge installs itselfWith both Open WhatsApp Connector and Helpdesk present, this add-on installs automatically — nothing to configure. |
3
Support over WhatsAppPoint an inbound rule at Helpdesk Ticket. From then on, chats become tickets, history flows into the chatter, and ticket replies reach the customer. |
A free add-on to the Open WhatsApp Connector platform
This add-on installs automatically the moment both Open WhatsApp Connector and Helpdesk are installed — nothing to configure. It builds on the main Open WhatsApp Connector app (sold separately), which provides the WhatsApp connection, accounts, Discuss inbox and dashboard. This bridge requires Odoo Enterprise (the Helpdesk app ships only with Enterprise); on Community there is nothing for it to bind to.
Run support on WhatsApp, manage it in Helpdesk
Install Open WhatsApp Connector and this add-on activates itself with your Helpdesk app — free, nothing to configure.
