Payment Checks (Receivable & Promissory)
Manage customer receivable checks and supplier promissory notes with a clear workflow.
Payments and journal entries are created automatically on each step, with correct partner accounts.
Key Features
- 𧾠Two types: Receivable note (customer) and Promissory note (supplier).

Draft â To Safe â Released / Under Collection â Collected / Returned. - ð³ Auto payments: posts bank vs. partner (AR/AP) on To Safe / In Progress.

How It Works
1. Create & Move
Create a check (receivable or promissory) with partner and dates, then move it to To Safe or In Progress. The module creates and posts the payment for you.
2. Returned
If the check is returned, a reversing payment is created to the correct partner side: Receivable for customers or Payable for suppliers, matching the original flow.
3. Collected & Reconcile
On collection, use the wizard to set the collection date and create the reconcile move (if needed).
4. Audit & Control
Smart buttons open all generated payments and prior reconcile entries. A scheduled job keeps the payments list in sync.
Compatibility
Fully compatible with Odoo 18 (Enterprise & Community).
Depends only on the Accounting app.
