Complete Workflow for Customer Address Autofill in Odoo
First, ensure that the Google API key is configured in the company settings to enable address autofill functionality. Once set up, users can enter an address in the customer or company form, and the module will automatically populate the street, city, zip code, state, and country fields using Google Places API. Users can also restrict address selection to specific countries as needed. If the API key is not configured, addresses can still be entered manually without any disruption.
Customer Address Autofill Basic Settings
1. First we need to check "Enable Google API" and enter the "API Key" in the Company from Settings Menu. Adding the "Restricted Countries" is optional, if no countries are added in restricted countries, addresses from all the countries will be shown..
2. After that we will be able to see "Location" field in the form view of Contact module
3. Now when we type the address in the location field suggestions would be shown.
4. Upon selection of any location all the address fields like street number, city, state, country, zip will be autofilled.
