POS Payment Custom Numpad

Modify Point of Sale Payment Screen Numpad to replace default +10, +20 and +50 buttons with values +10000, +20000 and +50000

module enhances Odoo's Point of Sale (POS) payment screen by adding three custom nominal buttons (10,000 | 20,000 | 50,000) to the numpad. When clicked, these buttons instantly add their respective values to the selected payment line, streamlining cash transactions.

Use Case

Scenario (Indonesia): A retail store where cash transactions frequently involve common Indonesian banknote denominations (10K, 20K, 50K IDR).

Workflow:

  1. Customer's cart total: 85,000 IDR
  2. Cashier selects "Cash" payment method
  3. Instead of manual entry:
    • Clicks 50.000 → Payment updates to 50,000
    • Clicks 20.000 → Payment updates to 70,000
    • Clicks 10.000 → Payment updates to 80,000
  4. Manually enters remaining 5,000
  5. System processes 85,000 payment with 4 quick actions

Scenario (Vietnam): A convenience store in Vietnam handling cash payments with common denominations (10K, 20K, 50K VND).

Workflow:

  1. Customer's cart total: 230,000 VND
  2. Cashier selects (Cash) payment
  3. Using nominal buttons:
    • Clicks 50.000 → Payment: 50,000
    • Clicks 50.000 → Payment: 100,000
    • Clicks 50.000 → Payment: 150,000
    • Clicks 50.000 → Payment: 200,000
    • Clicks 20.000 → Payment: 220,000
    • Clicks 10.000 → Payment: 230,000
  4. Complete payment with exact amount using 6 button clicks
