PoS Order Edits Tracking
Automatically track and log every change made to Point of Sale orders, creating a complete audit trail with detailed change history.
Monitor product additions, quantity modifications, state changes, and service type updates. All changes are automatically posted to the order's message thread.
Key Capabilities

Tracked Changes
Product Addition Tracking: Every time a product is added to a PoS order,
a message is automatically posted showing the product name and quantity.
Quantity Modifications: When product quantities change, the system logs the exact
before/after values and indicates whether the quantity was increased or decreased.
Order State Transitions: Important order state changes such as cancellations
and invoicing events are automatically logged and posted to the order thread.
Table & Service Type Changes: Tracks table reassignments (showing old and new table
numbers)
and service type transitions between Dine In and Take Away options.
How It Works
The module monitors all PoS order modifications in real-time. When a product is added to an order, a message is automatically posted to the order's thread with the product name and quantity. When quantities are modified, the system logs the before/after values and action type (increase/decrease). State changes (cancellations, invoicing) are recorded automatically. Table reassignments and service type changes (Dine In vs Take Away) are also tracked with the old and new values clearly shown. All messages are integrated into Odoo's mail.thread system, creating a permanent audit trail that helps with dispute resolution, compliance verification, and order accuracy verification.
Note: For more detailed insights and a complete change history, it is recommended to enable order edit tracking in the PoS configuration settings. This allows all order modifications to be fully logged and reviewed directly from the order chatter.
