✓ Create customer payouts directly from the POS Customer screen with Pay Later balancing.

POS Pay Customers

Enable cashiers to create customer payments (payouts) directly from the POS Customer screen. The module adds a Create Payment action in the customer dropdown when a Customer Account (Pay Later) payment method is configured. It automatically creates a balanced POS payment using a selected payout method (e.g., Cash/Bank) and the Pay Later method for accounting consistency.

What this module does

Adds a Create Payment option in the POS Customer list. When selected, the cashier enters a payout amount, chooses a payment method (excluding Pay Later), and the module automatically creates a POS order with two payment lines: a negative payout on the selected method and a positive balancing line on the Pay Later method. The flow then opens the Payment screen for confirmation.

Adds “Create Payment” in the customer dropdown menu on the Partner/Customer list screen in POS.
Balanced Payment Lines
Creates a negative payout line on the chosen method and a positive balancing line on Pay Later.
Works With POS Addons
Integrates with pos_settle_due and supports generating notes via pos_general_note.

Configuration

Configure payment methods in your POS and ensure a Customer Account (Pay Later) method is available.

  1. Go to Point of Sale → Configuration → Payment Methods.
  2. Ensure you have a Customer Account / Pay Later payment method configured.
  3. In your POS configuration, make sure the Pay Later payment method is included in Payment Methods.
  4. Also include at least one payout method (e.g. Cash, Bank) for paying customers.
  5. Open a POS session. In the Customers screen, open a customer dropdown and click Create Payment.
Note: If Pay Later is not configured in the current POS, the module shows a configuration alert and prevents payout creation.
