Play a configurable sound on the kitchen display every time an order changes stage. 8 sounds synthesized in real time — no audio files required.
8 Configurable Sounds
Assign a different sound to each preparation stage. Each sound is synthesized live — no files to upload.

No Audio Files
All sounds are synthesized in real time using the Web Audio API. No MP3, WAV or CDN dependency â nothing to upload or host.
Per-Stage Configuration
Each preparation stage gets its own sound. Use a gentle chime for “Ready” and an alert for “Urgent” â your kitchen, your rules.
Real-Time via Bus
Sounds are triggered by the same real-time bus that powers the preparation display. Stage change on POS → sound plays within milliseconds.
Tablet & Touch Safe
Handles browser autoplay policy correctly. Audio unlocks on the first touch or click â works reliably on all tablet kitchen displays.
No Restart Required
Change sound assignments at any time from the preparation display settings. Save and the new sounds take effect immediately.
Lightweight
Two small JS files, one model field, one view change. Zero impact on POS performance or page load time.
How to Configure
Three steps. No technical knowledge required.
Open Preparation Display
Point of Sale → Configuration → Preparation Displays → select your display
Choose Sounds
In the Stages table, find the Stage Sound column and select a sound for each stage
Save & Done
Click Save. Sounds are active immediately on all kitchen displays — no restart needed
