POS All-in-One Direct Print: No IoT Box Needed

This module extends the Odoo Point of Sale (POS) application, enabling businesses to print kitchen orders, bills, and receipts directly to thermal printers. It offers a complete printing solution for restaurants, cafes, and retail establishments looking to streamline their printing operations.

Compatible with ESCPOS and non-ESCPOS printers, including locally connected printers (USB, serial, etc.), not limited to network printers.

Installation Guide

Step 1: Install Java

Before using jIotBox, ensure that Java is installed on your system.

Step 2: Install jIoTBox Server

Universal Dashboard: Once installed, access your control panel at http://localhost:8071

Windows

  1. Locate the jIotBox folder.
  2. Right-click install_windows.bat.
  3. Select Run as Administrator.
Auto-installs Background Service

macOS

  1. Open Terminal in folder.
  2. chmod +x setup_service_mac.sh
  3. ./setup_service_mac.sh
Restart with ./restart_mac.sh

Linux

  1. Open Terminal in folder.
  2. chmod +x setup_service_linux.sh
  3. ./setup_service_linux.sh
Requires Logout/Login

Step 3: Connect Odoo POS

POS Configuration

Connect any device (iPad, Android, PC) on the same network using your Server IP.

Simple Mode (Recommended)

No certificates needed. Works instantly.

Secure Mode (Advanced)

Requires installing Root CA certificate.

The best application for direct printing at the point of sale; 100% recommended. Very useful for fast printing from any device without the need for an IoT box.
