Central asset dashboard
See all employee assets in one clean view, including status, condition, and owner. This improves visibility and prevents assets from getting lost, duplicated, or misreported.
Asset request & Complaint workflow
Employees can request new assets or report issues directly in the system, reducing back-and-forth communication and speeding up approval and resolution cycles.
Automatic notifications
HR and employees receive real-time alerts on assignments, approvals, and updates. This ensures no request or follow-up is missed, improving response time and accountability.
Role-based access control
HR controls who can view, edit, assign, or update asset records. Maintains data accuracy and prevents unauthorized changes.
Asset lifecycle tracking
Track each asset from purchase to assignment, repair, return, or scrapping. This helps manage costs, plan replacements, and simplify audits.
Attachments & Comments support
Users can attach photos, receipts, repair documents, or notes with requests. It provides clarity and context, making decision-making and troubleshooting faster.
Employee profile integration
Assigned assets automatically reflect in the employee’s record, eliminating manual record updates and keeping HR documentation accurate.
Repair & Scrap management
HR can send assets for repair or mark them as scrap directly through the app. This keeps asset records clean and ensures timely maintenance to extend asset life.
Installation
To install the module, navigate to the Apps menu, remove the filter from the search bar, type hrms_assets_management, and click the Activate button.
Configuration
Settings -> User & Companies -> Users
Set the access for the users
Asset Management -> Configuration -> Assets
Create the assets here
Workflow
The employee will create a record in “Assets Request/Complaint”
The name will automatically fetch. Select the asset. Select the mode as request/complaint. Submit the record.
After the request submission, the HR will be notified. HR can see the request
HR will review the request and process it
If the HR needs to approve the request, then click “Done” otherwise, click on the “Cancel”
After the approval, the asset will be assigned to the employee, and the status will show as active
The assigned asset details will show in the employee record
After the asset assignment, HR will notify the employee to fill out the rest of the details
An employee can request edit access to write or update the details.
HR will provide the edit access, and the employee can write or update the details
To raise a complaint, just create a record with mode “complaint”. Provide the issue in the comment, and if there is any picture, then also upload it. Submit the record
HR will process the complaint
The HR can either transfer the asset for repair, mark it as scrap, or cancel the request.

Employees can navigate to Assets Request/Complaint, select the mode as Request, choose the desired asset, and submit the form. HR will be notified automatically.
No, employees cannot edit asset details by default. They must request edit access, which HR can approve. Once approved, the employee can update asset information.
When the mode is set to Complaint, HR reviews the issue and can decide to repair, scrap, or cancel the asset complaint, depending on the situation.
HR reviews the submitted request. If approved, HR clicks Done to finalize the assignment. If not, the request can be marked as cancelled.
Yes. The module automatically sends notifications to HR and employees at each workflow stage (submission, approval, assignment, edit access, etc.).
