Step-by-Step Implementation Guide
Follow these 9 easy steps to fully automate your sales commission process.
Step 1: Install the module
Navigate to the Apps menu, search for "Profit-Based Tiered Sales Commission" and click Install.
Step 2: Create a commission plan
Go to Sales Commission → Configuration → Commission Plans and click Create.
Step 3: Define tier rules
Configure the From/To Amount and Rate (%). Supports Flat or Marginal logic.
Step 4: Set product cost
For Gross Profit basis, ensure products have their Cost price set to compute COGS.
Step 5: Post a customer invoice
Post an invoice with an assigned Salesperson. An "Accrued" entry is created automatically.
Step 6: Register payment
Once paid, the commission status moves to Payable.
Step 7: Review commission ledger
Monitor all earnings in Sales Commission → Commission Ledger.
Step 8: Manage settlement periods
Group entries into Settlement Periods and lock them for payout.
Step 9: Sales portal
Sales reps can view their earnings in real-time via the Customer Portal.
