This module brings structured Quality Control management into Odoo Projects. It enables organizations to define quality check templates, assign inspection responsibilities, and enforce quality validations before task completion. The system supports checklist based inspections, progress tracking, and visual status updates across tasks and stages. It helps ensure that deliverables meet quality standards and are thoroughly reviewed before closure.

Main Features:

• Enable Quality Control on Projects:
  
  • Add a checkbox to projects to indicate whether tasks under them require quality checks.
  • Automatically applies the requirement to all related tasks.
• Quality Check Templates:
  
  • Define reusable Quality Templates with checklist items and responsible inspectors.
  • Assign templates to tasks to auto generate inspection items.
• Task Level Quality Checks:
  
  • Tasks linked to quality enabled projects display a "Quality Checks" tab.
  • View, manage, and track individual checklist items.
• Checklist Based Inspection:
  
  • Every checklist item has its own inspection status: Pending, Passed, or Failed.
  • Track who inspected the item, when, and any comments or attachments.
• Wizard for Performing Quality Checks:
  
  • Perform quality checks using a dedicated wizard interface.
  • Update status, add remarks, and upload documents.
• Stage Validation Logic:
  
  • Tasks cannot proceed to the next stage or be marked as done if required quality checks are not passed.
  • Stage rules respect project and task specific quality settings.
• Visual Indicators & Control:
  
  • Ribbon indicators show if a check is Pending, Passed, or Failed.
  • Option to lock editing of task fields once inspection is concluded.
• Flexible Checklist Configuration:
  
  • Use different templates for different job types.
  • Assign user responsibility per checklist line.
• Powerful Views for Managers:
  
  • Kanban, List, Graph, and Form views for Job Quality Checks.
  • Search and group by task, inspector, or status for easy reporting.

Workflow:

• Enable Quality Control:
  • Go to a project and enable the Quality Check Required option. This applies the quality rule to all tasks under the project.
• Create a Quality Template:
  • Define a Job Quality Template with checklist items. Assign responsible users for each item.
• Assign Template to a Task:
  • Select the quality template in the task form. Checklist items are automatically generated.
• Inspect and Validate Checks:
  • Open each check using the Check button. Use the wizard to mark items as Passed or Failed, add comments, and attach documents.
• Restrict Task Movement:
  • If any item is not marked Passed, the task cannot be moved beyond certain stages.
• Track and Report:
  • Access all job quality checks from the Job Quality Checks menu. Use filters, kanban, and reports to monitor inspection trends.

• Role of Quality Inspector:

• Can read, create, update, and delete job quality check records.
• Can read all project tasks to understand inspection context.
• Can create and update quality templates and checklist lines.
• Cannot delete templates or template lines.
• Cannot manage job order types.
• Has access to the quality check wizard.
• No access to system level configuration or user management.

• Role of Project User:

• Can read, create, update, and delete quality checks related to their own tasks.
• Can view and use assigned quality templates and checklist lines.
• Can read tasks and related inspections.
• No access to job order types or full template configuration.
• No access to the inspection wizard or admin features.

• Role of Project Manager:

• Full create, read, update, delete access to all Quality Checks, Templates, Template Lines, and Job Order Types.
• Can assign templates, manage project stages, and monitor inspection progress.
• Can use quality wizards and review all inspections.
• Access to configuration, access rights, and multi company rules.
