Automated Low Stock Detection
A daily scheduled action automatically scans all storable and consumable products. When quantities fall below the defined threshold, an alert is instantly triggered — no manual checking required.
3 Flexible Check Types
Choose from Global (single threshold for all products), Individual (custom minimum per product or variant), or Reorder Rules (leverages existing Odoo order points). Switch modes at any time from the Inventory settings.
Email Alert with PDF Report
Notification recipients receive a professional email with a full Low Stock Report PDF attached — listing each affected product, on-hand qty, forecast qty, minimum required, and quantity to restock.
Template & Variant Level Control
Apply stock thresholds at the product template level or at the individual variant level. Enable the "Apply on Product Variant" toggle to manage each variant's minimum quantity independently.
On Hand or Forecast Monitoring
Decide whether the threshold check applies to On Hand Quantity (current physical stock) or Forecast Quantity (accounts for incoming and outgoing moves). Easily configurable from Settings.
Visual Low Stock Indicators
Products below threshold are highlighted with a warning decoration in list views and a prominent ⚠ Low Stock badge in Kanban views — for both product templates and variants — so your team spots issues at a glance.

Notification Log & Audit Trail
Every low stock event is recorded as a Stock Low Notification log entry, capturing the alert date, affected products, and sent status. A clear audit trail for compliance and inventory review.
Inventory Settings – Low Stock Configuration
All controls live in Inventory → Configuration → Settings under the "Low Stock Notification" block. Enable the feature, choose the quantity type (on hand or forecast), select the check type, set the global minimum, and configure notification recipients — all in one place.
Product Form – Low Stock Tab
Each product template has a dedicated "Low Stock" tab where you can set the individual minimum stock quantity. A read-only "Currently Low Stock" field shows the real-time status based on current settings and stock levels.
Variant Form – Stock Threshold (Variant)
When "Apply on Product Variant" is enabled, each product variant gets its own minimum stock quantity field — allowing granular control down to the SKU level. Ideal for products with size, color, or other attribute variants.
List View – Low Stock Row Highlighting
Products below threshold are immediately highlighted in warning color in both the product template and product variant list views. No need to open each product — your team instantly sees which items need attention.
Kanban View – ⚠ Low Stock Badge
Kanban cards display a prominent ⚠ Low Stock warning badge for any product currently below its minimum threshold, giving a quick visual overview of your entire inventory health at a glance.
Email Alert with PDF Attachment
Configured recipients receive a clean, professional email alerting them of low stock items. A Low Stock Report PDF is automatically generated and attached, listing all affected products with quantities and restock amounts.
Low Stock PDF Report
The auto-generated PDF report includes product name, internal reference, on-hand quantity, forecast quantity, minimum required, and the exact required restock quantity — giving your purchasing team everything they need to act immediately.
Daily Scheduled Action
The "Check Low Stock and Send Notification" scheduled action runs automatically every day. No manual intervention is needed — the system continuously monitors your inventory and sends alerts whenever stock drops below the defined threshold.
