Installing the Advanced Elite Dashboard add-on in Odoo.

To install the Advanced Elite Dashboard module along with custom addons, start by accessing the Odoo Apps menu. Next, clear any existing filters from the search field. Then, search for the "Advanced Elite Dashboard" addons. Once you locate the desired addon, proceed by selecting it to begin the installation process.

After installing the module, you will see a new menu called "Elite Dashboard".

As shown in the screenshot below, the Elite Dashboard menu provides a preconfigured dashboard featuring various chart types. You can preview all charts at once.

Review the functionality of the "Advanced Elite Dashboard".

To create new dashboards, navigate to the configuration menu where you'll find options for Dashboards, Dashboard Items, and Dashboard Themes. Refer to the screenshot below to add the relevant information.

New Dashboard Overview.

After creating a new dashboard, you will see a blank dashboard with a new menu based on the specified parent menu and menu sequence. Here, you can find options to filter by date, add items, edit the layout, share the dashboard, and see the last time the dashboard data was refreshed.

Adding Dashboard Items:

To start adding items to your dashboard, click on "Add Items." As shown below, a popup will appear. In this popup, enter the name of the dashboard item, select the dashboard (default is the current dashboard), and choose the chart type. The available chart types include Key Performance Indicators (KPI), Line Charts, Area Charts, Bar Charts, and 3D Bar Charts. For more specific visualizations, you can choose Pie Charts, Gauge Charts, Doughnut Charts, Radar Charts, Scatter Charts, and 3D Scatter Charts. Additionally, there are Heatmap Charts, Radial Polar Charts, Tangential Polar Charts, Funnel Charts, and Maps. Each chart type is designed to present data clearly and insightfully.

The "Data Mode" is also important. In "Configure" mode, you can manually select the model and data types, as well as group by domain for the dashboard. This mode is very user-friendly and easy to configure. Different chart types will have different configuration fields to suit their specific needs.

Edit Code Mode: Implement Python Logic and Advanced Queries for Dashboards.

In "Edit Code" Data Mode, you can access demo data and implement your own Python logic with advanced database queries, which is very helpful for creating advanced dashboards.

Test Query and Help Tabs in Edit Code Data Mode.

In "Edit Code" Data Mode, there's a "Test Query" tab where you can experiment with dashboard queries before implementing them in your code for advanced data preparation. Additionally, a "Help" tab provides more information about using "Edit Code" mode.

Managing Dashboard Items: Edit, Open, Copy, and Archive Options.

After saving a new dashboard item, it appears on the dashboard with options to Edit, Open Record, Copy, and Archive, allowing you to perform actions conveniently from there.

Creating a New Dashboard Theme in Configurations.

To create a new theme, navigate to the configurations where you'll find a "Dashboard Theme" menu specifically designed for customizing dashboard themes.

Editing Dashboard Layout and Applying Themes.

To edit the layout of the dashboard, click on "Edit Layout." Here, you can resize chart cards, rearrange them using drag-and-drop, and adjust their positions. Additionally, from the header, you can select a theme for the current dashboard, as demonstrated in the screenshot below.

Share Your Dashboard with a Public URL for Easy Read-Only Access.

When you click the share button, you'll receive a public URL for the dashboard. Anyone with this URL can access the dashboard in read-only mode without needing to log in. From the dashboard master you can generate a new public URL at any time, which will deactivate the old one.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) come in 8 styles, allowing you to customize text and background colors dynamically. You can also add icons from FontAwesome or upload your own icons. In "Edit Code" Data Mode, you can write custom HTML to achieve your desired design.
