Installation & Setup
Step 1: Get Your OpenRouter API Key
1. Visit https://openrouter.ai/keys
2. Sign up for a free account or log in
3. Generate your API key
4. Copy the API key for the next step

Step 2: Install the Module
1. Download the RAG Website AI Assistant module from the Odoo App Store
2. Copy the module folder to your Odoo addons directory
3. Update the Apps list and install "RAG Website AI Assistant"
Search for "RAG Website AI Assistant" in the Apps menu and click Install
Step 3: Configure the Module
1. Go to Settings > Website > Website AI
Navigate to Settings and locate the Website AI section
2. Paste your OpenRouter API key in the "OpenRouter API Key" field
Enter your OpenRouter API key in the configuration
3. Configure your company information:
- Company Name: Enter your company name
- Company Description: Provide a detailed description of your business
- Key Products/Services: List your main offerings

Click Save
Now go to website
Add the Ai Tools block

Step 4: Train the AI
A: Use Product Information
- Go to Inventory > Products > Products
- Go to Inventory > Products > Products
- Select one or multiple products

Product information includes: Prices , sale descriptions....
Product sales descriptions are used as primary content for AI responses
Enable optional features:
Navigate to the Products list in the inventory module
Click the "Teach AI" button in the list view header. The AI will learn about the selected products
- Use Product Button Context: Toggle to switch between manual and product-based context
Toggle optional features like Use product and conversation tracking
5. Click Save
The AI assistant will now use the products we have taught it:

Viewing Conversation History
Access all AI conversations from the backend:
You can enable / disable the tracking functionality using "Enable Conversation Tracking" field
In the website ai menu
You will find all chat history. Analyze conversation metrics and customer interaction patterns
Use Contact Information
- Go to Contacts
- Select contacts to teach to the Ai Assistant
- Users can now ask "Who is the sales manager?" and get contact info
Navigate to the Contacts module
Click the "Teach AI" button to add contact information to the knowledge base
AI can now answer questions about team members and their contact details
The AI is multilingual
The AI will respond according to the user’s language.

Switch modes anytime from Settings > Website AI
