Renewal Management

The Renewal Management module allows you to track and manage product or service renewals. When a sale is confirmed, a wizard lets you set the start and end dates, creating a renewal record. The system automatically updates the status, sends email reminders for near-expiry or expired renewals, and enables easy renewal through quotation creation.

Enable the Renew in product

To make a product renewable, enable the Renew option in the product form and specify the Near Expire days to define how many days in advance the system should send a notification before expire

Renewal Date Wizard after Quotation Confirmation

Once a quotation is confirmed, a Renewal Date Wizard opens where the user can set the Start Date and End Date for the product

Renewal Record

A Renewal Record is created, and the details from the Sale Order and Renewal Wizard are automatically updated for easy tracking. The state changes automatically based on the near expire date, and email notifications are sent when the renewal reaches Near Expire or Expired status.

Renew and Create Quotation is clicked, a wizard opens.

When renewing, a new Quotation is generated. The quantity is automatically taken from the Renewal Wizard.

How do I make a product renewable?

Enable the Renew option in the product form and set the Near Expire days to define when reminders should be sent before expiry.

What happens after confirming a sale order?

A Renewal Date Wizard opens where you can set the start and end dates. Based on this, a Renewal Record is created and linked to the sale.

Will I get notified when a renewal is expiring?

Yes, email notifications are automatically sent to assigned users when the renewal reaches the Near Expire or Expired state.

Which Odoo versions are supported ?

This module is available for Odoo Community version 18
