Workflow Walkthrough
1. Sales Order Integration
The module automatically adds a Purchase Orders smart button to any Sales Order that has linked purchases. This provides an immediate visual indicator of the fulfillment status directly from the sales dashboard.
2. Access to Purchase Details
Clicking the smart button reveals the specific Purchase Orders associated with this sale. You can easily track the expected arrival, vendor confirmation, and receipt status without navigating away.
3. Purchase Order to Sales Link
The connection is bidirectional. On the Purchase Order, a new Sales Order smart button appears. This ensures that purchasing staff can instantly identify the demand source for their orders.
4. Direct Source Navigation
With a single click, you can jump from the Purchase Order back to the original Sales Order. This "hard link" is maintained in the database, ensuring reliability even if document names change.
5. Easy Backfilling
For existing databases, the module includes a helper tool. The "Backfill Sale Orders" server action scans your history and automatically establishes links for older records based on the Source Document field.
