Why this module?
In many companies, certain product categories must not be sold without management approval.
- Prevent unauthorized sales of restricted items
- Reduce pricing/policy violations
- Keep a clear approval trail inside the quotation chatter
What it does
Add an approval workflow to Sales Orders when products belong to restricted categories.
- Mark Product Categories as Require Sales Manager Approval
- Normal users click Request Approval from the quotation
- Sales Manager can Approve or Reject (with reason)
- Confirmation is blocked until approval is granted
How it works
- Step 1: Enable approval on the required Product Category
- Step 2: Add a product from that category to a quotation
- Step 3: Click Request Approval (activity is sent to Sales Managers)
- Step 4: Sales Manager Approves or Rejects
- Step 5: After approval, the quotation can be confirmed
Configuration
Go to Sales → Products → Product Categories and enable:
- Require Sales Manager Approval
