Text Modules in Sales Documents
Apply separate header and footer text modules on quotations and sales orders.

Overview
Sales teams can assign dedicated header and footer text modules to quotations and sales orders. Separate text blocks are available for the quotation stage and the order confirmation stage, so different messages can be shown depending on the document type.
The module adds a Quotation Text tab and an Order Text tab on the sale order form. Each tab allows selecting a header and footer text module. A checkbox controls whether the quotation text is reused for the order confirmation or whether a separate order text applies.

Quotations and order confirmations often carry different messages — a quotation may include an introductory note while an order confirmation has specific delivery or payment terms. Without this module, the same text is used for both documents.

How It Works
- Create text modules under Sales → Configuration → Text Modules with Document Usage set to Customer Quotation or Customer Order.
- Open a quotation and go to the Quotation Text tab to assign header and footer text modules.
- Leave Use Header/Footer for Order Confirmation unchecked to use separate texts for the order stage.
- Go to the Order Text tab to assign different header and footer text modules for the order confirmation.
- Print the quotation or order — the correct text appears on each PDF.

Quotation Text Tab

When the quotation text is not reused for the order confirmation, both the Quotation Text and Order Text tabs are visible on the sale order form.

The Order Text tab allows selecting separate header and footer text modules specifically for the sales order confirmation PDF.

The printed quotation PDF shows the quotation header text below the title and the quotation footer text at the bottom of the document.

Installation
- Mount this module as an Odoo custom addon.
- Update the apps list in Odoo.
- Install the module from the Apps menu.
- The module
sale_text_modulewill be installed automatically.
