Sale Kit Components
Display BoM components inline in quotations and sales orders. Informational only : no impact on stock or invoicing.
What it does
When a quotation contains kit products with a Bill of Materials, customers often ask to see the composition before approving the order. The usual workaround is to attach a separate PDF or forward an internal list compiled by the operations team.
This module displays the components of any Bill of Materials directly inside the order lines. A single button in the order header expands the BoM, with components indented under their parent line and color-coded by depth level. Component lines are informational : they do not generate stock moves, do not appear on invoices, and do not change the standard sale workflow.
On the customer portal, a toggle button lets the client view the kit composition without involving the sales team. The portal calculation is independent of the backend state, so customers can always explore the breakdown regardless of how the order is displayed internally.

Backend : kit components inline
Click “Expand BoM” in the header of any quotation or order. Components are inserted as additional lines under the kit, indented and color-coded by level. Original sale lines remain untouched.
Customer portal : self-service exploration
The customer opens the quotation from the portal. Clicking the toggle button reveals the kit composition with the same hierarchy and color coding as the backend. The action runs on the display side and does not modify the order.
Printed quotation
When the quote is printed or emailed as PDF, components appear with their hierarchy preserved. Monetary cells on component lines are left empty to avoid zero-value rows that could confuse the reader.
