Last Sale Price & Date on Sale Order Lines
Without this module, salespeople have to open a separate window, pivot report, or sales history list to find the last price offered to a customer. This module puts that information directly on the sale order line, so price negotiations happen with full context and without leaving the quotation screen.
About This Module
Last Sale Price & Date on Sale Order Lines adds two computed fields â
Last Sale Price and Last Sale Date â to the sale.order.line model. As soon as a
salesperson picks a customer and a product on a quotation, Odoo looks up the customer's confirmed
sales history for that exact product and displays the price and date of the last confirmed order.
The values recalculate automatically whenever the customer or the product on the line changes,
while the order is still a draft quotation.

Key Features
- Last Sale Price Display â Shows the last unit price at which the product was sold to the selected customer.
- Last Sale Date Display â Shows the exact date when the product was last sold to the selected customer.
- Customer-Specific Data â Values recompute automatically whenever the customer is changed on the sale order.
- Product-Specific Lookup â Each order line checks its own product against that customer's sales history, independent of other lines.
- Color-Coded Highlight â Last sale information is displayed in blue and bold for immediate visual distinction on the order line.
- Real-Time Updates in Draft â Information updates live while the order is in Quotation (draft) state.
- Values Fixed on Confirmation â Once the sale order is confirmed, the last sale values are locked at that point in time and won't shift retroactively.
- Optional Columns â Both fields are added as optional (hidden by default) columns on the sale order line list, toggled from the column selector so the quotation view stays clean.
How This Helps Your Business
Pricing consistency is a recurring problem for sales teams handling repeat customers: without a quick reference, a salesperson may accidentally quote a lower price than last time, undercutting margin, or a higher price that annoys a loyal customer. With this module active, the person building a quotation for "Customer A" and adding "Product X" instantly sees that the last confirmed price was â¬45.00 on 2024-11-12, right on the same line they are editing. This turns every quotation into an informed negotiation:
- Account managers can justify price increases or hold pricing steady with a documented reference point.
- Sales reps avoid manually searching past sale orders or building a report just to check historical pricing.
- Sales managers reviewing quotations can spot unusual price deviations from a customer's history at a glance.
- New or first-time products for a customer are clearly identifiable â the columns simply stay empty, flagging "no prior history."
How It Works
Sales → Orders → Quotations
Last Sale Price and Date on Sale Order Lines (Customer-Specific):

Enabling Optional Last Sale Columns on the Sale Order Line:
Installation & Configuration
- Upload and install Last Sale Price & Date on Sale Order Lines from Apps like any other Odoo module (the Sales module must already be installed).
- No settings or configuration screen is required â the module works out of the box once installed.
- Go to Sales → Orders → Quotations and open or create a quotation.
- On the order lines table, click the optional columns icon (three dots) at the top right and enable Last Sale Price and Last Sale Date.
- Select a customer and add a product line â the two columns populate automatically based on that customer's confirmed sales history for the product.
- Change the customer or product on any line at any time while the order is in draft; the values refresh instantly. Once the order is confirmed, the displayed values remain fixed as a historical record.
Why This Module Matters
Odoo's standard sale order line has no built-in reference to a customer's pricing history â users must switch context to a sales report or another order to find it. This module closes that gap with a lightweight, non-intrusive addition: two extra computed fields, no changes to existing pricing logic, no impact on other apps, and no extra clicks during normal quoting. It is built for teams where pricing consistency and quick historical context directly affect win rates and margin protection.
Who Is This For
Sales teams, account managers, and sales managers who negotiate recurring pricing with repeat B2B or B2C customers, and need the last agreed price and date visible while building a new quotation â without leaving the sale order form or running a separate report.
Frequently Asked Questions
- How do I activate the last sale columns on the sale order line?
- Click the optional columns icon (three dots) at the top right of the sale order line table and enable "Last Sale Price" and "Last Sale Date" from the dropdown.
- Does it show the last sale from any sale order or only confirmed ones?
- The last sale information is pulled only from confirmed sale orders for the selected customer and product combination â draft or cancelled orders are not considered.
- What if a product has never been sold to the selected customer before?
- If there is no sales history for that product-customer combination, the Last Sale Price and Last Sale Date columns show empty, indicating this is the first sale of that product to that customer.
- Do the values change after the sale order is confirmed?
- No. Once a sale order is confirmed, the last sale values shown on its lines are fixed at that point in time and will not update retroactively if later orders are placed.
- Is this compatible with Odoo Community edition?
- Yes â the module works on both Community and Enterprise editions, on Odoo.sh and On-Premise deployments. The Sales module must be installed.
