The Sale Source Location module enhances Odoo's sales workflow by allowing users to define a specific source location directly from the sales order. This location is then automatically propagated to the corresponding delivery order, ensuring accurate inventory management and streamlined logistics operations.
By establishing this direct link between sales orders and source locations, this module eliminates the need for manual adjustments in warehouse operations, reducing errors and improving overall fulfillment efficiency.

Creating a Sales Order with a Specific Source Location
- Navigate to Sales → Orders → Quotations
- Create a new quotation or select an existing one
- Fill in the customer information and add products as usual
- Find the new Source Location field in the sales order form
- Select the appropriate source location from the dropdown menu
- Continue with the standard sales process
Confirming the Order
- Once the quotation is complete, click Confirm
- The system will create a delivery order as usual
- The delivery order will automatically use the source location specified in the sales order
Warehouse Operations
- Warehouse staff can process the delivery order following standard procedures
- The system will automatically suggest picking stock from the specified source location
- Stock movements will be accurately tracked from the selected location
The module extends the standard Odoo sales workflow through the following modifications:
- Adds a source location field to the sale.order model
- Creates a mechanism to pass this information to stock.picking when delivery orders are generated
- Modifies the procurement process to respect the specified source location
