Dashboard Custom Date Range Filter
" This module extends the built-in Odoo spreadsheet dashboard's "Select Period..." relative date filter to include a "Custom Range" option. When selected, two date picker fields (Start Date and End Date) appear, allowing users to filter dashboard data by any custom date range. "
FEATURES
-
Custom Date Range Option: Adds a "Custom Range" option directly into the existing "Select Period..." dropdown on Odoo dashboards.
-
Start & End Date Pickers: When "Custom Range" is selected, two intuitive date picker fields appear, allowing users to define a precise start date and end date.
-
Flexible Filtering: Users can filter by only a start date, only an end date, or both â giving complete control over the date range.
-
Seamless Integration: Works with both date and datetime fields on dashboards, automatically building proper domain filters.
-
Display Value: The selected custom range is shown as "Start Date â End Date" in the filter display for clear visibility.
-
Switch Between Preset & Custom: Easily switch between preset period options (This Month, This Quarter, etc.) and your own custom date range at any time.
Step 1: Go To: Dashboards (any spreadsheet dashboard with a date filter)
Step 2: Click on the "Select Period..." dropdown filter. You will see the new "Custom Range" option at the bottom of the list.
Step 3: Select "Custom Range" from the dropdown. Two date pickers (Start Date and End Date) will appear below the dropdown.
Step 4: Pick your desired Start Date and End Date. The dashboard data will automatically filter based on the selected date range.
Step 5: The dashboard now displays data filtered by your custom date range. The filter display shows the range as "Start Date â End Date".
