Multi-Carrier Accounts

Description

This module is designed to configure multiple providers and carrier accounts within a contact. For instance, both FedEx and UPS accounts can be added to a single contact. This enables the management and utilization of different carrier services for shipments related to that specific contact.

Functionality

When this module is used for multi-carrier accounts, the third-party billing address can be input, and the shipping method can be selected. These details are then propagated to the sales order.

In Contacts, under the Sales & Purchase tab, a “Multi Carrier Accounts” boolean is available. When enabled, a new “Multi Carrier Accounts” tab is displayed.

We can add multiple accounts in the “Multi Carrier Accounts” tab.

Create a sales order for the customer configured with “Multi Carrier Accounts” details.

When the “Shipping Terms” and “Delivery Method”fields are set, the “3rd Party Billing” and “Carrier Account” details are automatically updated based on the configuration on the contact for the sale order and delivery order.

Below is the label shipping for UPS with 3rd Party Billing.
