Inventory Product Matrix
This module introduces a powerful Product Variant Matrix feature in Odoo, allowing users to create
and manage product variants through a structured, grid-based interface. Instead of manually generating
each variant, the matrix automatically builds combinations based on selected attributes such as size,
color, material, or any two-attribute configuration. This significantly speeds up product setup,
improves accuracy, and provides a clearer, more efficient way to visualize variant options.
The matrix interface also enhances visibility and control by letting users review and edit variant
details directly from the grid, including references, barcodes, and other key fields.
By simplifying
variant creation and centralizing all variant information in a single screen, this module improves
productivity for businesses managing complex product catalogs, especially in retail, manufacturing,
fashion, and inventory-heavy environments.

Set Up & Configurations
Download and install the Inventory Product Matrix module from the Odoo App Store.
After you activate it, you will be able to see the Variant grid entry option inside the Inventory
setting which will be auto-enabled.
Do not disable it as it will uninstall this app.
Work Flow
Go to the Products page select any product and go to the Attributes & Variants section and add
attributes. Once you add more then one attribute value you will see a new field below titled"Inventory
Variant Selection"
Here you should be able to see three options.
1. Normal Entry
2. Order Grid Entry
3. Product Configurator
If you select Normal Entry, then you will be able to add Products in Inventory lines normally.
If you select Order Grid Entry, You will see a grid view open and you will be able to fill in details with it.
In the "Additional Info" tab, you will be able to see option "Print Variant Grids" if you check it, You will see a grid view of the products variants in the report of this picking.
If you select Product Configurator, You will see a matrix view open and you will be able to fill in details with it.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
No. The matrix view is designed specifically for two-attribute configurations, such as Size x Color. Products with more than two attributes will follow Odoo's standard variant workflow.
No. The matrix does not allow editing variant information. It is designed only to easily and quickly add or update quantities for multiple variants.
No. Existing products and variants remain unchanged. The module only enhances the way new variants are created and managed through the matrix interface.
