Mindee Expense Receipt Parser
The Mindee Expense Receipt Parser for Odoo seamlessly automates expense data capture by integrating Odoo with Mindee's AI-powered OCR and document understanding technology. This module allows users to upload or attach expense receipts and instantly extract key details such as vendor name, receipt date, total amount, taxes, currency, and line items with high accuracy. By eliminating manual data entry, it significantly reduces processing time and human errors while ensuring consistent and structured expense records within Odoo. The extracted data is automatically mapped to Odoo expense fields, enabling faster expense validation, smoother approvals, and improved financial control for businesses handling a high volume of employee or vendor expense receipts.

Set Up & Configurations
Download and install the Mindee Expense Receipt Parser module from the Odoo App Store.
Go to Accounting Module >> Configuration >> Settings and under the "General Settings",
option you
will
find "Mindee" subsection.
Here you have to provide API Key provided by Mindee and enable Create
Partner
and Product While Mindee Expense Receipt Parsing options as per your requirement.
Work Flow
Go to Accounting >> Vendors >> Bills and click on new.
Here, you can attach an Expense Receipt as
shown
in the example below, and as soon as you press the "Mindee Receipt Parsing" button, you will see that
Expense Receipt details are auto populated inside Odoo.
As you can see below, the details are auto populated. If you want to check more information you can go to the "Other Info" tab and scroll down and you will be able to see more information such as Mindee response and there will be two more options.
In the Other Info tab you will be able to see Response from Mindee.
Inside the Scheduled Actions Menu, you will be able to see this custom Scheduler that we have created to Parse such Expense Receipts.
Here under the same "Other Info" tab, you will see one more option called "Auto Expense Receipt Parsing from Mindee?" if you check it, with the help of Scheduler at a specific time you will automatically Parse them.
