Password Formatter
Password Formatter is designed to strengthen password governance in
Odoo by enforcing structured and
compliant password formats. The module automatically validates and formats passwords according to
predefined rules, eliminating weak or inconsistent entries and
ensuring uniformity across all related
fields. It supports configurable patterns, minimum character requirements, and automatic formatting to
meet organizational or industry-level security standards.
This module integrates smoothly with existing Odoo workflows without requiring complex setup. By
applying real-time validation and formatting at the field level, it improves system security, reduces
password-related errors, and standardizes password practices for users and administrators alike.

Set Up & Configurations
Download and install the Password Formatter module from the Odoo App Store.
Work Flow
For set Password Format, Go
Settings >> General Settings >> General Settings.
You can see
a section
named Set Password Format From there,you can setup different options for your password format. Like, if
you want, password must have a special Character, select the option Special Character.
Select options according to format that you want to apply.
When you start typing the password, a Validation Popup Box will appear.
As soon as you start typing the password, the validations which are fulfilled will change to green.
If user do not enter the password as per the format, then the error message will be displayed.
When you click on the change password button, a Validation Popup Box will appear.
