Set Up & Configurations
Download and install the Expiration Date Tracking in Odoo | Smart Inventory & Product Expiry Management Report module from the Odoo App Store.
Go to Settings >> Users, and enable Product Expiry Alert for applicable users under Technical settings.
Navigate to Settings >> General Settings , and configure: Notify Before Expiry (in days), Enable Auto Mail, Notify Users
Navigate to Inventory >> Configuration >> Settings , and tick the Expiration Dates under Traceability.
Work Flow
Enable inventory tracking on desired products and link to lot/serial number.
Enter expiration date of product
The system checks for expiring products based on settings and then it will create reports in the Reporting section of the Inventory module.
By clicking on the Expiry report under the reporting, a floating window will appear. Fill out the given details and click on 'Print report'.
If you want to manually send email then click on 'Send Email'. However, an automatic email will be sent
to the user we configured in the 3rd step of the setup section.
A report shown below will be sent on the set email id.
