Timesheet Calendar & Templates

This is where this module comes into play! It extends the functionality of the Timesheets App by adding a calendar view. Employees can instantly identify missed slots.
To further enhance efficiency, weâve added timesheet entry templates, enabling quick creation of recurring tasks.

Installation & Configuration
Installation
- Download the module and place it in the addons folder.
- Update the Apps list in your Odoo instance.
- Search for simpit_calendar_logging and install the module.
No Python dependencies are required.
Instructions & Usage

Navigate to the Timesheets application.

Click on the Calendar icon in the view selector:
- Log time directly from the calendar by selecting (drag & drop) the desired date and time.
- Create and manage templates under My Templates.
- Apply templates in the calendar view for quick time entry logging.
- Review and adjust time entries as needed through the calendar or list views.
Algorithm
This module introduces a new field,
Datetime From
(datetime_from), to facilitate logging time on a calendar. Please note that
datetime_from
is not a standard field in Odoo.
In cases where only a date is provided, the module automatically adjusts the datetime value as follows:
- If the provided date is today, it is assumed that the employee has just completed a time log; therefore, the start time is set so that it ends at the current moment.
- For any other day, the start time defaults to the beginning of that day.
If only the datetime is provided, the module extracts the date component from it.
