Overview
Take full control of your exchange rates with the **Manual Currency Rate Import** module.Designed for Odoo 18, This tool allows accounting teams to update currency values via Excel and ensures that all accounting journal items reflect the correct rates based on the invoice date.
Configuration & Setup
1. Enable Full Accounting Features: Ensure the user has "Show Full Accounting Features" enabled in technical settings.
2. Access Import Menu: Navigate to Invoicing > Configuration > Import Currency Rates.
Import Workflow
3. Download & Prepare Template: Use the sample format to fill in Date, Currency, and Rate.
4. Upload and Apply: Import your Excel file to update rate history instantly.
Rate Verification
5. Updated Currency Settings: The list view reflects the latest imported Unit rates.
6. Historical Rate Entries: Rates are automatically logged in the currency's history.
Accounting Impact
7. Invoice Date Alignment: The system automatically matches manual rates to the invoice date.
8. Automated Journal Entry Rates: Debit and Credit amounts are recalculated based on imported rates.
