POS Product Exchange
This Odoo module enhances the Point of Sale (POS) functionality by introducing a robust and user-friendly product exchange system. It allows POS users to process product exchanges for any reasonâsuch as damage, wrong size, customer dissatisfaction, etc.âdirectly from the POS interface.
The module supports seamless exchanges for both the same product and different products, ensuring accurate pricing, quantity tracking, and payment handling, with clear visibility for both staff and customers.
This module offers a seamless experience for both staff and customers, improving flexibility and operational efficiency in POS environments.
- Exchange Same Product: Allows customers to exchange the same product (for reasons like size, color, or defects) with no additional payment if the price and quantity remain the same.
- Exchange for Different Product: Supports exchanging the returned product with a different item, with automatic payment adjustment based on price difference.
- Partial Quantity Exchange: Customers can exchange part of the quantity purchased and adjust the payment accordingly.
- Automatic Payment Handling: The system redirects to the payment screen if additional payment is required or shows a success message if no payment is needed.
- Clear Receipt Breakdown: The exchange details and price adjustments are clearly displayed on the customerâs receipt.

Create the order by adding products, then process it by completing the payment in the POS.
Now, go to the Orders menu to view existing orders. If an order has been paid, you'll see the exchange icon next to it.
Once you click the exchange icon, a pop-up will appear allowing you to return items and exchange products.
In the case of exchanging the same product, no additional payment is required from the customer. The user will simply see a confirmation message indicating that the exchange is complete.
In the case of exchanging for a different product, the customer must pay the difference. Once you click the 'Confirm Exchange' button, the system will redirect to the payment screen to proceed with the payment for the difference amount.
