POS Session Validation Control
Adds a "Waiting Validation" buffer between Close and Closed for any POS session with draft invoices or cash differences. Accounting managers approve or reject - and nothing posts to the books without sign-off.
Auto-Detect Inconsistencies
Every closing attempt is automatically checked for draft (unposted) invoices and cash differences. Clean sessions close as usual.
Waiting Validation State
A new session state sits between Closing Control and Closed & Posted. Inconsistent sessions park here until a manager signs off.
Manager-Only Approval
Only users in the Accounting Manager group can approve or reject a pending closure. Cashiers and POS users cannot bypass the gate.
Approve to Close
Approval resumes the standard close pipeline, creating the accounting entries automatically. Stored closing parameters are replayed exactly.
Reject to Reopen
Reject sends the session back to Opened so cashiers can continue working, post the missing invoices, or recount the till before trying again.
POS Frontend Locked
A session in Waiting Validation cannot be reopened from the POS UI. No more accidental "Continue Selling" while inconsistencies are unresolved.
Compatibility Notice
This module is tested and certified to work with the vanilla (standard, unmodified) edition of Odoo Community and Enterprise. It depends on the standard Point of Sale and Accounting modules.
If your Point of Sale, Accounting, or related modules (such as third-party POS closing flows, custom pos.session state machines, or alternate accounting validation tools) have been modified by another developer, behavior is not guaranteed. Please contact our support team before purchasing if you are running a heavily customized Odoo instance.
