POS Waste & Void Management

Handle the "hair in food" case cleanly. Cashiers mark a line as Waste, the line drops to zero on the customer bill, but the stock move still fires so inventory and cost of goods sold stay accurate. Every waste is logged with a mandatory reason.

One-Click Waste / Void

A dedicated Waste / Void button is added to the POS Actions popup. Tap, pick a reason, and the line on the bill is voided.

Mandatory Reason

Cashiers must pick from preset reasons - Hair in Food, Spoilage, Burnt, Dropped, Quality Issue, Wrong Order and more. Add your own.

Hidden from Receipt

The voided line is removed from the printed and emailed customer receipt. The bill only shows what the guest actually paid for.

Stock Move Still Fires

Even though the line is free on the bill, the inventory move goes through. Stock levels and cost of goods sold reflect what actually left the kitchen.

Per-Tier Access Control

Restrict who can void a line per POS config - Advance Rights only, Basic+ employees, Minimal+ employees, or every cashier. Prevent unauthorized comps.

Full Audit Trail

Every voided line shows in the backend POS order with an "Is Waste" flag and the reason. Filter, group and report on waste over time.
