Multiple Barcodes For POS
Scan ANY of a product's registered barcodes at the POS scanner. Reuses the same multi-barcode dictionary as the base module, so alternate EAN, UPC, alias and supplier codes work both in the back office and at the register.
Scan Any Barcode
Scanning a non-primary barcode at the POS still finds the right product and adds it to the order - exactly as if the primary barcode had been scanned.
Shared Dictionary
Reuses the multi-barcode list maintained on the product form. Add a barcode once - it works in Sales, Purchase, Invoicing AND the POS.
Zero Workflow Change
No new buttons, no new screens. Cashiers keep using their existing scanner - the multi-barcode lookup just kicks in transparently.
Variant-Aware
Matches barcodes at the product variant level, so the correct size, color or attribute combination is added to the order.
Graceful Fallback
Standard primary-barcode scanning still runs first. The multi-barcode lookup only kicks in when the primary scan returns no product.
Lightweight Patch
A small JS patch on the POS ProductScreen hook. No additional cron, no heavy assets, no impact on POS startup or runtime performance.
Compatibility Notice
This module is tested and certified to work with the vanilla (standard, unmodified) edition of Odoo Community and Enterprise. It depends on the standard Point of Sale module and on the companion module Multiple Barcodes Per Product (star_product_multi_barcode_base) - install that one first.
If your Point of Sale product picker or barcode lookup has been replaced or heavily customised by a third-party module, please test on a staging environment first.
