Overview

Warehouse users can print product labels directly from stock transfers — automatically for selected operation types or on demand per move line using a dedicated print wizard.

The label wizard prefills the product, quantity, and stock location from the move line. A configurable label factor on the product controls how many labels are printed per unit processed.

Warehouse operations often require a product label on every item or box when goods are received, moved, or shipped. Without integration into the transfer workflow, printing labels means switching between screens and manually entering product and location data.

How It Works

• Enable Automatic Label Print on the operation type to mark all move lines of that type for label printing.
• Set the Label Factor on the product to control how many labels are printed per unit (e.g. factor 5 = 1 label per 5 units).
• Open a transfer in state Ready and go to Detailed Operations.
• Click the print button on a move line to open the label print wizard.
• Review the pre-filled product, quantity, and location — then print the labels.
• On validated transfers with label lines, use Print → Labels to reprint.

Automatic Label Print on Operation Type

Enable Automatic Label Print on an operation type to automatically mark all move lines of that type for label printing.

Label Factor on the Product

The Label Factor on the product controls how many labels are printed per processed quantity. Formula: qty done / factor = number of labels (rounded up).

Print Button in Detailed Operations

The Detailed Operations list shows the Print Labels checkbox and an Open Print Wizard button on every move line that is marked for label printing.

Label Print Wizard

The print wizard opens pre-filled with the product, calculated number of copies, and stock location from the move line. Review and confirm to print the labels.

Installation

• Mount this module as an Odoo custom addon.
• Update the apps list in Odoo.
• Install the module from the Apps menu.
• The OCA module report_wkhtmltopdf_param must be installed first.
