Stock Reordering Rules
Description
This module enhances inventory management by allowing users to execute reordering rules independently of other scheduled actions. It introduces a dedicated interface for manually triggering reordering processes and provides clear visibility into any exceptions that prevent a rule from being executed.
Configuration
- Navigate to Scheduled
Actions
- Ensure that “Procurement: Run
Reordering Rules” is set to Active
- The Next Execution Date should be selected accordingly
Functionality
A new menu item, "Run Reordering Rules”, has been added under Inventory → Operations.
This menu can be used to trigger only the reordering rules manually.
Navigate to Inventory → Operations → Replenishment.
A new field named “Exception Info” has been introduced in the reordering rule form.
At times, exceptions may occur during the execution of reordering rules,
preventing them from being triggered.
This field provides information about the reason the reordering was not executed.
Scenario:
Click on the product and go to the Purchase tab. If no vendor line is added and the Route is set to Buy, then when Run Reordering Rules is selected under Operations, an exception message will appear on the corresponding reordering rule line.
Note: The new menu only triggers the reordering rules, not other scheduled actions.
