Frequently asked questions
Do I need my own AI API key?
Yes — you bring your own provider: Anthropic, OpenAI or any OpenAI-compatible endpoint, including locally hosted models. There is no TedRed middleman and no per-seat AI fee; a built-in usage and cost log shows exactly what you spend.
Where does my business data go?
Only to the AI provider you configure, on your own keys. Prompts contain schema information and aggregate results — not record dumps — and if you point it at a local OpenAI-compatible model, nothing leaves your infrastructure at all.
Can the AI show users data they are not allowed to see?
No. Every query — drag-and-drop, chat or AI-generated SQL (which is read-only) — runs under the asking user's Odoo access rights and record rules. Three security groups (User, Builder, Manager) control who can view, build and administer.
Does Super Insights work on Odoo Community?
Yes — every feature runs on Odoo 18 Community as well as Enterprise. There is no dependency on Enterprise apps or Odoo Studio.
What else do I need to install?
The React Framework for Odoo (web_react, $49) companion module from TedRed, and node/npm on the server so the chart libraries can be bundled at install time. That is the whole stack — no external BI service, no data warehouse.
Which languages are supported?
Eight: English, Arabic, French, Spanish, German, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, Turkish and Simplified Chinese — across both the dashboard frontend and the backend views, with full RTL layout for Arabic.
Do I need a developer to build dashboards?
No. Describe what you want and the AI co-builder assembles it, or use the no-code editor with live preview, a friendly domain filter builder and formula columns. SQL is an optional power-user extra — and even there the AI can write it for you.
How is the module maintained?
