01 Install

It installs like any other Odoo app

Find it in Apps, install it, and refresh your browser. That is the whole setup.

02 The switch

A Hide/Show switch on the chatter bar

The switch sits right on the chatter topbar of any form. One click hides or shows the chatter.

03 Full width

Hide it and the form fills the screen

With the chatter hidden, the form stretches to full width — more room for fields, tables and columns.

A small floating button waits in the corner. Click it and the chatter slides back into place.

Remembers your choice

Your hide or show choice is saved in your browser, so every form opens the way you left it.

Nothing saved on the server

It works entirely in your browser. There are no models, no data, and nothing written to your database.

It won't break your forms

It only adds a switch to the chatter bar. On a form without a chatter it simply does nothing.

Quick answers before you install.

Do I need to set anything up?
No. Install it, refresh your browser, and the switch is on every chatter bar. There is nothing to configure.
Which Odoo versions and editions does it work on?
Odoo 17, 18 and 19, on both Community and Enterprise. It depends only on the standard web and mail modules.
Does my choice stay after I reload?
Yes. Your hide or show choice is saved in your browser, so forms open the way you left them. It is remembered per browser.
What about forms without a chatter?
The switch only appears where a chatter exists. On other forms it simply does nothing, so nothing breaks.
Will it slow down or change my data?
No. It runs only in your browser, with no server calls and no database changes, so there is no measurable impact.
