CPQ Product Template Setup
Enable the “CPQ Configurations” checkbox on a product to set up its CPQ structure, then add component products as CPQ lines in the product form with ordering, default quantities, and optional selection,and you can also toggle CPQ mode per product template or variant.
Interactive Product Configurator Dialog
Click “Configure CPQ” on a Sale Order to open a full-screen OWL dialog where you choose a CPQ-enabled product template and configure it using attribute selectors with real-time price updates and a running total in the footer.
Optional Product Management
Optional components can be added or removed during configuration, and removed items are kept in an “Available Optional Products” panel so they can be re-added anytime.Nested optionals are supported, with automatic parent-child tracking and cleanup when items are removed.
Automatic BOM Generation
When you confirm a CPQ configuration, the system automatically generates a Bill of Materials with all selected components linked to the Sale Order Line and used to create Manufacturing Orders on SO confirmation, including resolved product variants, quantities, and automatic variant creation for attributes.
Editable Configurations (Re-configure)
Each CPQ-configured Sale Order Line has an Edit button that reopens the configurator with all previous selections pre-filled, allowing changes to attributes, quantities, and optionals while keeping the product fixed, and on save it automatically rebuilds the BOM and updates the Sale Order Line description.
Pricelist-Aware Pricing
Each component price is calculated using the Sale Order’s pricelist, currency, and partner context, with real-time recalculation when attributes or quantities change and an instantly updated live total across the configurator.

CPQ Configuration in Product
Create a new product and select Track Inventory By a unique serial number or By Lots. The CPQ Configurations notebook will be displayed.
Configure CPQ Components
CPQ Configurations tab will be available using which user can configure different components(Products) required in CPQ. User can make it optional or change quantity as per the need.
Configure CPQ in Sales Order
In a sales order, the user selects a product via the CPQ Configurations button. A dialog will open to to select CPQ product, upon selecting a component combinations will be displayed.
Generate BOM Automatically After Sales Order Confirmation
After the sales order is confirmed, a BOM is automatically created based on the product configuration defined in CPQ and MO will be created accordingly.
