When preparing your store for live operations, switch to Production Mode in Odoo's eBay settings. Enter your official eBay Developer Keys (Developer ID, App Key, Cert Key) and production token obtained from the eBay Developer Portal. Important: Configure the "Marketplace Account Deletion/Closure Notification" endpoint as required by eBay's latest policies. Generate and verify the security token to ensure uninterrupted synchronization. Once configured, connect your Sales Team, set storage location (Country, Zip Code), and activate currency sync to complete the integration.
Before going live, always test your integration using Sandbox Mode. This provides a safe testing environment with dummy data where you can verify API connections without affecting real sales or inventory. Use sandbox keys to test product syncing, order management, pricing updates, and stock levels. Once all tests pass successfully, simply switch to Production Mode and replace keys with live credentials to go live.
